Dr. Darnell earned her PhD in Cognitive Psychology with a focus on Human-Computer-Interaction (HCI) from New Mexico State University. She has vast experience in the computer technology with a focus on doing user research experience and higher level management at companies such as IBM, Adobe, Microsoft, eBay, and currently Facebook.
This seminar will focus on preparing for the job market, broadly defined. It will include things to do in preparation in the latter half or your graduate school career, and there will also be a strong focus on preparing a job talk.

Dr. Jonathan Peelle (from the medical school campus) will lead a professional development workshop how to give presentations. This is an optional seminar for anyone interested.
Arlene Taich from the campus Career Center will come to speak to graduate students and answer questions. This is geared toward all graduate students. Please plan to attend.
